Project Brief

Orlano Gardens is a professional remote outdoor design website built to help homeowners visualize and plan their outdoor spaces before making major landscaping decisions. The website presents custom outdoor design services, ready-to-use designs, portfolio projects, garden guidelines, pricing, testimonials, and contact options through a clean and responsive digital experience. The project was converted from a static website into a modern Next.js application with reusable components, responsive layouts, SEO optimization, professional navigation, interactive project and garden-guide filtering, legal pages, loading and error states, image optimization, and a scalable admin/content-management structure. The final website was designed to provide a polished experience across desktop and mobile devices while maintaining the original visual identity and content direction of Orlano Gardens.

The Challenge

The original Orlano Gardens website needed to be transformed into a modern, maintainable, and responsive web application without losing its established visual identity. The main challenge was converting the existing static website structure into Next.js while preserving the design, content, imagery, navigation, and overall user experience. The website also needed to work properly across desktop and mobile screen sizes, provide intuitive navigation, handle multiple content sections and service pages, and support future content management. Additional challenges included improving mobile responsiveness, preventing layout overflow, creating functional portfolio and garden-guide filtering, implementing consistent loading and error states, improving image presentation and performance, and preparing the site for SEO and production deployment.

The Solution

The website was rebuilt as a structured Next.js application using reusable components and a responsive design system. The implementation introduced a shared header and footer, responsive mobile navigation, reusable content sections, service and portfolio components, interactive project and garden-guide filters, search functionality, loading states, custom error and 404 pages, legal pages, SEO metadata, Open Graph configuration, and optimized image handling. The website was carefully adjusted for both desktop and mobile layouts, including responsive grids, cards, buttons, typography, navigation drawers, image sizing, and spacing. The existing Orlano Gardens branding and design direction were preserved while improving the technical structure and usability of the application. A scalable admin/content-management architecture was also prepared so that important website content such as homepage sections, services, pricing, portfolio projects, testimonials, and legal content can be managed and reflected across the website.
